Avdotya has been thrust into a time of trials: her husband is at the front, and she and her family have been forced to flee from Germans who have occupied their village, and hide in the forest to await the advance of Soviet troops. Suddenly her elderly husband dies, leaving her with a young daughter to take care of alone.
"The Last Tram"
Petya’s dream is to become a tram driver, and the boy has ex- plored every corner of the tram depot located near his house. The lad is well acquainted with the “residents” of the depot: the old trams, which long ago served out their term and are now laid up forever in its furthest, emptiest reaches. One day Petya decides to show his classmate Katya his secret place, and the excursion turns into an adventure.
Betrayal is the worst thing that can happen between people. It marks the death of intimacy and trust. Betrayal can only be committed by somebody close, and a person who once trusted or even loved you can suddenly become an enemy.
Private Kornilov gets an order from his commanding officer to guard a military installation far away from base. They promise that he will be picked up in a week. When Kornilov arrives at the site he discovers that the only place he can sleep is the excavator that he is supposed to guard. A week passes, but nobody comes to pick him up…
Asya is a successful police officer who deals with juvenile cases.
