Lidia Sheinin

Born in Russia, she is an award-winning film director, editor and creative. Her work ranges from traditional storytelling such as her cinema vérité approach in documentary filmmaking to innovative experimental fiction and brand new media, including vertical and VR. Lidia studied film directing at the UCLA. In 2008, she returned to St Petersburg to edit the 16-part documentary series «Leningrad Retrospection» by Alexander Sokurov. Then she enrolled in the Moscow-based Marina Razbezhkina Documentary Film and Theatre School. Her graduation work «Mom» (2013) had won the best documentary at Message to Man IFF and her full-length «Harmony» (2017) had won the Golden Centaur Grand Prix.
