Description
Synopsis:
In the 30’s, a lost village of South America wishes to perpetuate its strange traditions… The mayor has published an ad in the region: “Seeks corpse to enlarge Miracasas”. Freshly murdered, Ernesto is the lucky one and participates in spite of himself in his carnival-like burial. The gathered villagers celebrate the event with passion, waiting with greed for the life brought by the death.
About the directors:
Raphaelle Stolz. Born in Geneva, Switzerland. 2011, she graduated in Illustration and Painting from the École Emile Cohl in Lyon. In 2014 she Graduated from the École des Gobelins in Animation. As a multidisciplinary artist, she works as a director of animated shorts and advertisements, as well as a set designer. She is also an animator and a painter.
Augusto Zanovello. Born in 1965 in Brazil. Studied at the Fine Arts School in Belo Horizonte. In 1985, he moved to France and studied at the University of Paris III and École des Gobelins, before entering the ENS Louis-Lumière where he obtained his diploma in the cinema section in 1991. He has directed several series and short films, including the multi-primed Lettres de femmes in 2013.
