Vuk Mitevski

Artist and director

An artist and director, he graduated from Bennington College in the U.S. (2005). He has had personal exhibitions in Macedonia (1998), the U.S. (2006), and Germany (2010). Vuk Mitevski’s animated films, including Alerik (2013) and Edna (2018) have been shown at dozens of film festivals all over the world and have won numerous prizes, including a selection for the European Film Academy award (for Edna). In 2001 he teamed up with his sisters Teona and Labina to found a family film company called Sisters & Brother Mitevski, which focuses on the production of arthouse cinema. The company has released many successful projects, among them God Exists, Her Name Is Petrunya (two-time prizewinner at the 2019 Berlinale), and The Happiest Man in the World (2022, premiered in the Orizzonti section at Venice)
