Cécile Tollu-Polonowski

Programme Advisor, Producer

Cécile Tollu-Polonowski studied German Studies and Culture Management in Paris, Berlin and Saarbrücken. From 2007 on, she worked as the organisation manager for Berlinale Forum and from 2011 to 2020 as their programme consultant. In 2016, she graduated from the German Film and Television Academy Berlin (DFFB)’s Film Producing programme. Her graduation project, the feature film Zhaleika by Eliza Petkova, world premiered at the Berlinale and was awarded the Sofia FF Grand Prix. From 2015 to 2019 she worked as a producer for Match Factory Productions and Pola Pandora. She notably EP’d The Invisible Life by Karim Aïnouz, winner of the Prix un Certain Regard, Cannes 2019. Cécile is a member of the editorial team of Revolver, Zeitschrift für Film, and currently a programme advisor for the International Film Festival Mannheim-Heidelberg, consulting for Locarno Open Doors Consultancy and Berlinale talents, and a producer.
