Oleg Karpov

Studied at the Tashkent Polytechnic Institute, worked at Uzbekistan’s Film Studio of Documentary and Popular Science Films, ‘Uzbekfilm’ film studio and Tashkent television. Organizer and curator in various initiatives, such as the CDO video library from 1991 to 2013, the Cinema Museum in Tashkent from 2004 to 2009, the videoART.uz festival from 2007 to 2017, and the Turkestan Archive from 2013 to the present day. In his role as an author and director, collaborating with Umida Akhmedova, Oleg has produced more than 100 films.
