Dmitry Frolov

Art and Film Curator and Researcher

Dmitry Frolov was born in Kaliningrad in 1988 and is an art and film curator and researcher. He holds a BA in cultural studies from the Russian State University for the Humanities and an MA in Film Programming and Curating from Birkbeck, University of London. He did an intensive course ‘Museum Curating Now’ at the Tate and a three-month student placement at Film and Video Umbrella (London, UK). He has his works published in Spectate, Colta.ru, Syg.ma and other media. He worked as an Editor-in-Chief at the Documentary Unit of the ‘Russia-K’ TV channel, as well as the Director at ‘Moskino Fakel’ cinema and the Deputy Head of the Special Projects Department at Moskino. Since 2017, he has been working as a curator at the Moscow International Experimental Film Festival (MIEFF).
