Description
A hybrid documentary-fiction film that deciphers the “Strugatsky code,” looking at their principal and signature works, predictions that came true, surprising facts of the brothers’ biography, and the testimony of friends and pupils. It also asks why now is the time for new screen versions of the Strugatskys, and why the books themselves are still read to pieces; why not every earlier adaptation found a single response from audiences and critics; and what awaits the viewer in a film “based on the Strugatskys” today.
