Pyotr is a caver. He has a family and a job. But among the sheer rock and underground rivers of a hard-to-reach cave in Bashkiria, there is a place that has become his shelter from ordinary days and a door into the past, where he hears himself again.

I have been passionate about photography and hiking since childhood. I made my first films during hiking trips. I graduated with a degree in cinematography from the Saint Petersburg State University of Film and Television, where I studied under Vladimir Martynov and Sergey Lando. As a cinematographer, I have worked on more than 20 documentary films, all of which have been selected for and received awards at Russian and international film festivals.
