A day in the life of the last narrow-gauge railway in the Caucasus Mountains. The film focuses on the people of different generations and social backgrounds who use the train, their conversations, and the lonely driver, who has worked as a replacement for his late best friend for 20 years already.
About the director: Alexei Yevstigneyev was born and raised in Shatura, Russia. He is currently studying documentary filmmaking at the Gerasimov Institute of Cinematography in Moscow. He makes short documentary films, advertisements and music videos.
