Description

Director, screenwriter, producer, actor, poet. A classic of German cinema. Born in 1942. He released his first film, Hercules, in 1962, and in 1963 founded his own film studio. Since then, he has directed nearly eighty works, both fiction and documentary. He has staged operas in Italy, Germany, the United States, France, and published numerous books. In 2018, the adjectival derivative of his surname, Herzogian, was added to the Oxford English Dictionary.
