Synopsis:
Filming for this picture took place in Russia over the course of a quarter of a century: in 2000, 2010 and 2022. The film is preceded by an epigraph: “The fate of every person depends on the country where they live, just as the fate of a country depends on its citizens”.
About the director:
Vladimir Eisner. Director, producer. Born in 1955, he graduated from the Novosibirsk State Theatre School (1980), and then from Ekaterina Vermisheva’s workshop in the Gerasimov Institute of Cinematography’s direction faculty (1985). He is an Honoured Artist of the Russian Federation, Knight of the Order of Friendship of Peoples and winner of the State Prize of the Russian Federation for literature and art, as well as the Laurel Branch national prize.
