E.1027 is the name of a villa on the Côte d’Azur designed by the legendary Eileen Gray, a key figure in 1920s design and, among other things, a leading voice of the Art Deco movement. The house, stripped of ostentation, was meant to be a refuge for Eileen and her lover, a place of tranquility. Instead, it became a site of artistic conflict and inner turmoil.
