Noushin Meraji

A director and screenwriter, she graduated from a film course at the Iranian Youth Cinema Association and has been making short films since 2004. Her works Chicken for Dinner, Daddy’s Guest, Hard, Straight, Awake and Brother have won prizes at Russian festivals and in the U.S., Serbia and India. Her feature-length directorial debut Son was awarded the prize for the best male role and the Russian Film Clubs Federation prize at the 2020 Moscow International Film Festival. It was also named Best Film at the Listapad IFF in Minsk and participated in programmes at Rotterdam, Valladolid, and Kerala, among others. She teaches screenwriting and runs an online screenwriting workshop for the Iranian Youth Cinema Association.
