Mukharam Kabulova
Editing director
An editing director, she has won a European Film Academy prize in the Best Editing category (for her work on the film Unclenching the Fists). She graduated from the economics faculty of the Gerasimov Institute of Cinematography in 2011, and from the editing direction faculty at the Moscow School of New Cinema in 2015. As editing director Kabulova has played a role in the creation of some of the most notable Russian films of recent years, including Anastasiya Palchikova’s Masha, Alexander Lungin’s Great Poetry, Ismail Safarali’s The Fisherman’s Daughter, Natasha Merkulova and Alexei Chupov’s Captain Volkonogov Escaped, and Kira Kovalenko’s Unclenching the Fists. In 2021 she was twice nominated for a Nika Award for her work on Captain Volkonogov Escaped and Unclenching the Fists. She is a member of the European Film Academy.
