Mili Pecherer
Director
France, Israel
Born in Israel in 1988 and based in Marseille, Mili Pecherer studied at the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design and Le Fresnoy — Studio national des arts contemporains. She began with whimsical documentaries featuring God, Napoleon Bonaparte, a hemorrhoid, and a donkey, before turning to game-engine technology for greater freedom in unconventional storytelling. Through an avatar, she roams synthetic worlds, reinterpreting biblical narratives and confronting contemporary questions. Her films have screened and received awards at Berlinale Shorts, Annecy, and FIDMarseille, and her work has been exhibited at the Fondation Pernod Ricard and the mahJ in Paris.
