Eugeniia Marchenko

Evgeniia Marchenko was born in 1989 in Leningrad. She graduated in 2013 from the St. Petersburg State University of Culture and Arts, where she studied in the workshop of A. Kiselyov. She has directed and shot a number of documentary films, and has participated and won prizes at various Russian and foreign film festivals. She films reports for Radio Liberty and collaborates with the Tovstonogov Bolshoi Drama Theatre as a videographer. Since 2013, she has been a member of the selection committee of the Message to Man International Film Festival, where in 2016 she will curate the national documentary film competition. Since 2017 she has served as the programme director of the Rudnik Film Festival in Sviyazhsk.
