Director of photography. Has worked with some of Europe’s greatest filmmakers: Manoel de Oliveira, Raúl Ruiz, Alain Tanner, Pedro Costa, João César Monteiro, Rita Azevedo Gomes, Margarida Cordeiro, and others. In total, he has shot more than 150 films. Recipient of the Medal of Cultural Merit. In 2022, he made his directorial debut with Love Lights (co-directed with Marie Carré), which is featured in the parallel programme of Message to Man.
