In a world where humanity has forgotten how to dream, the heroine discovers that one being still possesses this ability. A post-apocalyptic odyssey through the history of cinema and China, where memory melds with technology. Each chapter of the film is dedicated to a single sense: sight, hearing, taste, smell, and touch.

About the director:
Bi Gan
Screenwriter, Director, Artist. Born in 1989 in Kaili, Guizhou Province. In 2015, he debuted with Kaili Blues, which garnered over 20 awards, including the Golden Horse Award for Best New Director and the Best Emerging Director prize at Locarno Film Festival. His second feature, Long Day’s Journey Into Night (2018), premiered in Cannes’ Un Certain Regard section and later won awards in Tokyo and Beijing. Resurrection is his third feature film.
