Synopsis:
“Vertical Shadow” is a visual journey through the intimacy of migrant residents of a mega-building in Santiago. The pandemic forces them to spend their days locked in 17 square meters with 1.500 people.
About the directors:
Ananke Pereira. Filmmaker from the University of Chile. He specialized as an editor at ESCAC (Barcelona) where he did a masters degree. He has worked as director on Escaip (2012), Snap (2017). Currently he works as an editor with focus in digital content, and is developing his first documentary feature film at ESCAC as part of his final project for the Documentary Film
Felipe Elgueta. Filmmaker and professor of Documentary Film at the University of Chile. He specialized in New Media at LAV in Madrid and works as a curator at the International Error Process Festival in Valparaíso. He is currently developing film projects with programming in Machine Learning – 3D and he is post-producing his third short film using the photogrammetry technique.
