Description
Five sketches form a broken, fragmentary melody of the early 1990s: boys washing windscreens at crossroads; a young man back from Transnistria; a millionaire of the new age; a local theatre company; a Frenchwoman who has moved to Russia.
About the director:
Sergei Vinokurov
A director who worked in documentary cinema and later in fiction. In the early 1990s he was part of the film milieu in Leningrad and St. Petersburg; his documentaries include The Story of a Provocation, Local Time, The Model, She and the City, It Snowed in the Morning and Lenin’s Funeral. In the 1980s he studied under Alexander Sokurov. In 1997 he made the fiction film Upyr, from a screenplay by Sergei Dobrotvorsky and Konstantin Murzenko.
