Danel Elpeleg’s grandfather once served as a military governor in one of the originally Arab regions following the establishment of the State of Israel. But what exactly did his role entail? As Danel investigates, she uncovers not only a history of political overreach but also a family secret she never knew. The personal and political intertwine, as the sins of past generations echo in the present.

Danel Elpeleg
Director and editor, graduated with high honors from the Sam Spiegel School of Film. Her debut documentary, Wild, won the best debut film award in both Docaviv and at the Documentary Forum in 2018.
