About the director: Born in 1961, Ivan Tverdovsky graduated from the Moscow Aviation Institute (MAI) in 1985. In 1988 he began working as a video engineer for the Videofilm corporation, and in 1994 he became a film editor at the Central Studio for Documentary Film (CSDF). In 2001 he founded Tochka Zreniya, a studio specialising in documentary film, and continues to work as aa documentary director and producer. Tverdovsky has made more than 30 documentary films, many of which have won prizes at Russian and international film festivals. In 2008 he made his fiction film debut as a director with the feature-length The Incident in City M.
