Description

Early in the 20th century, young Lilian meets engineer Carter and police officer Simmons aboard an ocean liner. Simmons is pursuing Carter to arrest him on charges of murder. By a twist of fate, all three soon find themselves adrift in the ocean. The film is loosely adapted from Alexander Belyaev’s novella The Shipwreck Island.

Winner of the Nika Award for Best Sound Design, the Special Jury Prize to director Viktor Aristov (posthumously) and the Best Actress Award at 1994 Kinoshock Festival, among others.
