About the director:
Patrick Buhr
Filmmaker and teacher, based in Providence, Rhode Island. He studied philosophy at Humboldt University in Berlin and media art at the Academy of Media Arts in Cologne. He is now an assistant professor at the Rhode Island School of Design. His films range from comedic auto-fiction to absurdist surrealism and often employ playful multi-layered storytelling. They have been shown at dozens of festivals, including Tampere, Oberhausen, Clermont-Ferrand, Pictoplasma Berlin, DOK Leipzig, Encounters Bristol, and Slamdance. Buhr’s works have twice been shown in the In Silico experimental film section at Message to Man: The Train, the Forest in 2018, when he also gave a masterclass, and 16 Years in 2022, which received a Jury Diploma.
