About the director:
Mariia Sediaeva
Animation director and artist. Graduated from the Faculty of Mathematics and Mechanics at Ural State University, and later from the Faculty of Animation at the Academy of Architecture, studying under Oksana Cherkasova and Aleksey Karaev. Three of her films have been selected for competition at Message to Man (Slow Sleep, 2010; Tanya, 2017; Immortal Jellyfish, 2020); she has received numerous awards, including the Grand Prix at Kinoproby, Best Animation Prize at Osen Kinofest, and a Jury Diploma at Saint Anna Festival, among others. In 2016, together with Sabrina Karabaeva, she created Russia’s first documentary-animation project, What Am I Doing Here. She also worked on the animation for films by Aleksey Fedorchenko. In 2024, she founded the animation studio “End of Summer”. She spent the previous two years filming her animated series BOOMBOOM: Save the Planet!.
