Description
Immigrant Juan sets out to move to the USA but is swallowed by a crocodile along the way. Surprisingly, he finds this new state quite cozy—perhaps even an ideal fate for him and others like him.
About the director:
Marcela Heilbron
Director, producer. Born in 1991 in Panama. She moved to the United States, where she majored in choreography and dance, and went on to study anthropology at Fordham University in New York, which sparked her interest in film. She worked as an executive producer on Claire Denis’s Stars at Noon (2022). Her short film debut God Is in the Breath (2019) was featured programme in the Toronto International Film Festival. She is now back in Panama, where she directed Panadrilo.
