World premiere
Irina is director of the local-history museum in Cherdyn, in the north of the Perm Region. She came for the job a few years ago and grew attached to the place. She loves devising exhibitions, finding a contemporary language in which to speak about history, and turning the museum into a place that feels alive. But the old troubles of the institution haunt her as well: court cases, unease in the staff, a constant strain. The need to take hard decisions begins to wear her down.

Olga Averkieva
Director and producer. She graduated from the Perm State Institute of Culture (documentary workshop by Pavel Pechenkin and Rashid Davletshin). Her diploma film A Prodigal Son (2013) won the Grand Prix at Dragon Forum and pitching in Kraków, as well as a Special Prize at Kinoproba Film Festival. Let me live MY life (2018), which she also produced, won the Russian Competition at Flahertiana, Best Documentary at the 8 Women Fest, Best Documentary in the ‘Saratov – Open City’ programme at the Saratov Laments Festival, and the Larisa Bogoraz Special Prize at Stalker Film Festival. Other works as director include Red line. A Story of Love. Mikhail Romanov and Natalya Brasova (2018), Perm. Scientists’ House (2023), Life as Long as Childhood (2024), and The Move (2025).
