Description
They come here to wash, to stay clean. Some are in need, others are having boiler trouble. The public showers are a transient refuge for them before they return to the city, to the streets. Here, they can recharge their batteries, or have a chat, but violence is never far away. A dirty look, an insult, a sudden movement. The staff at the public showers keep watch and prevent things from getting out of hand. It’s a world outside the world.
