Synopsis:
Polina takes her first steps towards independent life, embarking on a journey into the wild taiga with her new friends. As they venture deeper into the forest, they stumble upon a settlement of mutant humans, grappling with the consequences of an ecological disaster. Monke, who has lived in the taiga since childhood, becomes Polina’s most important summer acquaintance, as well as her love and challenge.
About the director:
Alexandra Strelyanaya. Alexandra Strelyanaya graduated from St. Petersburg University of Film and Television, specializing in cinematography under the guidance of Dmitry Dolinin in 2005 In 2007, she earned a degree in film directing, workshop of Viktor Semenyuk. She is known for her work as a scriptwriter, director, and cinematographer, with her films consistently receiving accolades at Russian and international film festivals. Alexandra is also a professional photographer, and her work is featured in private collections and museums worldwide. Her directorial filmography includes “The Dry Valley” (2011), “The Sea” (2013), “The Net” (2017), “The Reddest Fox” (2015), “The Port” (2019).
