Synopsis:
A group of teenagers celebrates their graduation from an orphanage by blowing all their money in two days. They rent a luxurious cottage and throw a real party. These two days are the time when dreams come true. Their rental period expires, but the celebration must go on: the house turns into a fortress. Even as an assault on the house begins, the kids hold out, hoping for the arrival of dawn.
About the director:
Tatiana Rakhmanova. Playwright, scriptwriter, director. She graduated from the St. Petersburg State University’s Faculty of Philology and Faculty of Liberal Arts and Sciences, as well as the Dramaturgy Workshop of the State Academy of Theatre Art. She is known for her work as an author of texts for drama and musical theater, collaborating with renowned figures like Valery Fokin, Marat Gatsalov, and Andrey Moguchy. Tatiana received accolades for participation in scriptwriting and dramaturgy contests, as well as film festivals. Her writings have been featured in magazines such as “Iskusstvo Kino” and “Sovremennaya Dramaturgiya”. She is the author of documentary and live-action films, including “Compote of Cherries with Pits” (2011), “Catharsis” (2013), “My Brother Batman” (2015), and “Heavenly Harmony” (2017). “Shelter Kingdom” is her feature film debut.
