Description
End of Summer captures Jóhann Jóhannsson’s journey to the Antarctic Peninsula in search of tranquil landscapes and the changing seasons in a place barely touched by civilisation. Shot on Super 8 film, this is a comforting study of a peaceful setting in one of the most important and endangered areas of our planet.
Accompanied by rich and detailed field recordings, this footage is the ideal foil for Jóhann’s musical compositions, performed together with fellow musicians and friends Hildur Guðnadóttir and Robert A. A. Lowe.
