Description
Synopsis:
Inheriting the tradition of an urban symphony, Kielowski’s film From the City of Lodz presents the Polish town as a cinematic phenomenon from the textile factory to the fairgrounds – interweaving some episodes like threads between others. The Polish music of the 1960s, heard everywhere in Lodz, has its own plot. In the very first shots, reflecting the work of the factory machinery, the film reaches the screen straight from the city of Lodz, as if it was itself woven on a loom.
