In the third year of the special military operation, St. Petersburg seemed, at first glance, a peaceful city untouched by the conflict. But what was in fact happening to people at the time? How did they respond and what did they do? What was the atmosphere inside this outpost of calm?
About the director:
Artem Danilov
Director and editor. Member of the Russian Guild of Non-Fiction Film. In 2025 he graduated from the St. Petersburg State University of Film and Television (SPUFT), non-fiction directing workshop of Pavel Medvedev and Roman Pomerantsev. He also studied at the St. Petersburg School of New Cinema in Sergei Ivanov’s editing workshop, and is now studying directing and editing with Ivanov at ‘Art Residence’. Outpost is his graduation film at SPUFT.
