Description
An observant and compassionate look at the history and culture of the Chukchi, who for centuries lived along the shores of the Bering Strait, hunting seals and enduring an extreme climate. Today their world is Soviet-era block houses. The film’s heroine strives to pass on to the new generation the half-forgotten language, traditions, and legends of her people.
