Synopsis:
A traumatic event – a suicide attempt – creates a rift in a family’s everyday existence. Their lives fundamentally change, as if they are waging a war invisible to everyone else. The source of the story is autobiographical, it is addressed in the film and highlighted by the fact that the author/director plays himself.

About the director:
Juraj Lerotić. Director, scriptwriter. He was born in 1978 in Kiel, Germany before moving to Croatia. He studied early-childhood education and theology and later graduated from the Academy of Dramatic Art in Zagreb in Film and TV Directing. His first short film “Then I see Tanja” (2010) was awarded the Golden Pram at the Zagreb Film Festival. He wrote, directed and starred in his debut feature film “Safe Place” (2022), which premiered at the Locarno.
