Saskia Walker
Director, producer and curator
Director, producer and curator, co-editor of Revolver Film Magazine, member of the selection committee of Berlinale Shorts. She studies history of art and languages in Paris, Freiburg, Moscow and Berlin. Until 2003 postgraduate-studies in film at the Academy of Media Arts Cologne. In 2018 and 2019 she worked in the selection committees of the Solothurn Filmdays in Switzerland and DOK Leipzig Festival. She co-curated programmes about R.W. Fassbinder in Berlin, Harun Farocki and contemporary Russian and German filmmakers mainly together with the Goethe Institute in Russia. In 2013 she founded Sprechfilm and released the documentary Sex:Speak, that premiered at the Berlinale in 2015. Her latest film, the fiction Come closer (2020) won a special mention at Mannheim.
