Description
Nazi-occupied Crimea, 1944. A group of Jewish orphans, the parents of whom were shot, seek help and refuge from a local Tatar woman, Saide Arifova. Saide stands before a difficult moral decision: should she help the children, risking her life, or turn them away? Despite the danger, she hides the children in her home, having them pose as Tatars and be accepted in the local community.
About the director: Akhtem Seytablaev is a Ukrainian and Crimean Tatar film actor, director for stage and film, screenwriter, Merited Artist of the Autonomous Republican of Crimea, and a member of the European Film Academy.
