Special screening and a meeting with Portuguese director Sérgio Tréfaut
Accustomed to the quiet, measured passage of time, elderly people gathered every day in the romantic, mysterious gardens of Catete Palace, once the presidential palace of Brazil and now the Museum of the Republic in Rio de Janeiro. After sunset, accompanied by musical instruments, they shared their thoughts on the meaning of life through love songs. Paraíso is a portrait of their zest for life, suddenly cut short by the pandemic. The film will be presented and discussed with the audience by Sérgio Tréfaut, director and a member of the International Competition jury.
