Lyubov Mulmenko

Director and screenwriter. Born in the Urals, she graduated from the Faculty of Philology at Perm State University in 2008. She wrote the dialogue for Compartment No. 6 (2021, Grand Prix at Cannes Film Festival) and the screenplays for Unclenching the Fists (2020, Un Certain Regard at Cannes), Fidelity (2019), Another Year (2014, winner of the Big Screen competition at IFFR), Name Me (2014), and The Hope Factory (2013). In 2021, Mulmenko directed The Danube in Serbia (White Elephant Award for Best Debut). Her second film as director, Frau, received prizes for Best Screenplay and Best Actress (Liza Yankovskaya) at the Mayak Festival of Contemporary Cinema.
