Russian Premiere
Terekhovo is the last village in Moscow, going under as the city expands. Houses come down, residents leave, and a place with four centuries of history slowly gives way to a housing estate. Vasya stays on in the rubble; he earns by collecting metal, builds himself shelters from what he finds, and makes a life in the shade of the trees. While a new quarter rises around them, Vasyaand his companion Tanya try to carry out their plan: to leave the island and start again.
About the director:

Dasha Senicheva
Artist working with photography, video, and installation. Lives and works in Moscow. She graduated as a television director from the Kosygin Russian State University in 2018 and from the Rodchenko Moscow School of Photography and Multimedia in 2022. Cinematographer on the documentary Hey, Teachers! (2020), which received the national Laurel Award, a Special Jury Mention at Kraków Film Festival, and the Alexander Rastorguev Prize at the 30th Message to Man IFF. Film-programme producer at the Zotov Centre. There’s Enough Happiness for Everyone is her first film as director.
