Description
An elderly man visits his mentally ill wife in a psychiatric hospital. Years earlier, she had tried to drown their child and then take her own life. Crushed by guilt and powerless to change what has happened, he stays on at the clinic as a janitor. Soon, their daughter comes to tell him she is getting married, and with her arrival come painful memories and tormenting visions.

Tomomi Orita
Theatre actress and dancer of traditional Japanese dance. She graduated from a theatre school in Tokyo; in 2005 she studied at GITIS, in Leonid Kheifets’s course. A pupil of Tomogoro Yamamura III, the current head of the Yamamura school of traditional classical Japanese dance. She lives in Russia and performs at Teatr.doc.
Elena Skvortsova
Graduated from the Moscow Conservatory in the cello class of Dmitry Miller. In 2018, she began studying the Japanese zither, the koto, in the department of Musical Cultures of the World, under Natalia Golubinskaya and Natalia Grigorovich; from 2019, she also studied Japanese taiko drums under Marina Vavilova and Evgenia Glukhova. She took part in a masterclass with Yamaji Miho, and had koto lessons with Iwahori Keiko and Sawai Hikaru. She performs on the koto with the ~Inari~ Japanese music ensemble and with the Ensemble UMI.
