Russian premiere
At the Jerusalem Biblical Zoo, Rushdi — a Muslim Palestinian citizen of Israel — cares for Shalom, an aging rhinoceros nearing the end of his life. As debates over euthanasia unfold inside the zoo, war breaks out beyond its walls. When Rushdi escorts a new rhino to Jerusalem, he begins to question the very idea of captivity — both animal and human.

Meital Zvieli
Director and editor. She graduated with distinction from the screenwriting department of the Sam Spiegel Film and Television School in Jerusalem. She has over 25 years of experience as a freelance editor, screenwriter, producer, director, and television-format developer for all Israeli broadcast channels. Her first feature as director, The Camera of Doctor Morris (2022), which she also produced and edited, won Best Israeli Film at Docaviv.
