Tasked with shielding her from the news of her father’s death, young soldier Atom escorts Claudette on a road trip into the conflict-ridden Armenian countryside. A hallucinatory odyssey through the mythologies of a nation in a state of permanent war.
About the director:
Christine Haroutounian
Born in Los Angeles, she is a director, writer, and producer working between Armenia and the diaspora. Haroutounian was named one of Filmmaker Magazine’s 25 New Faces of Independent Film. Her short film World (2020) was selected for numerous festivals including the International Film Festival Rotterdam, and won the main prize in the Apricot Stone section at the Golden Apricot International Film Festival in Yerevan. After Dreaming is her debut feature, produced by Carlos Reygadas.
