World premiere
A young actress travels through Georgia in search of a better life. Her journey takes her from the noisy feasts of Tbilisi, with endless songs and conversations, to the silence of the overgrown ruins of Tskaltubo spa resort. On an empty stage, she performs a play with ghosts. Sleeping dogs dream of the end of history.
About the director:
Ivan Kurbakov
Writer and director, graduate of the Gorky Institute of Literature and the Moscow School of New Cinema. His graduation film Pleroma premiered at FIDMarseille in 2017. In 2021, he became a laureate of the international Garage.Digital artist support programme, and his short film A Person Grows Up Dreaming was presented in competition at Gorky Fest. Ivan has also curated a film laboratory for teenagers and worked on audiovisual installations in Georgia and Switzerland. In 2025, his debut feature Youth Myth won the award for Best Visual Concept at the New Movement Festival.
