M2M-35: Poster contest from the Message to Man Film Festival and HSE School of Design

The Message to Man International Film Festival, in collaboration with the HSE School of Design, announces a contest of anniversary posters. Submit your entry by September 9 via the School of Design platform and add your name to the history of one of Russia’s oldest and most respected film festivals.

The Festival’s anniversary edition brings together long-standing tradition and the open-hearted energy of a young audience — a combination that inspires bold and vibrant visual language. The organizers invite all interested participants to reflect on this spirit. Peace, dreams of a better world, truth captured at 24 frames per second — complete creative freedom, as long as it stays true to the Festival’s philosophy.

Entries are welcome in graphic and web formats.

Submissions will be reviewed by:

  • Mikhail Ratgauz, Programme Director of the Festival and curator of the New Voices programme;
  • Tamara Larina, creative producer;
  • Ksenia Belaya, graphic designer;
  • Mitya Kharshak, Head of the HSE Design School, St. Petersburg;
  • Grigory Khromov, programme director and teacher at the HSE Design School, Nizhny Novgorod.

Projects selected for the longlist will be featured on the Festival’s social media accounts and in HSE School of Design groups. Posters included in the shortlist will appear on the official Festival website and will be displayed at one of the Festival venues.

The winner will receive a symbolic cash prize of 35,000 rubles.

Submissions will be accepted until September 9, 2025. The selected works will be announced on September 17, one month before the Festival opens.

The 35th edition of the Message to Man Film Festival will take place in St. Petersburg from October 17 to 25. Applications for the film programme are currently closing.Stay tuned for updates by following Message to Man on VK and Telegram.
