Artist and director, he was born in 1982 in St. Joseph, Missouri. He has exhibited his work in solo shows at the Simone Subal Gallery, New York and collaboratively at the Swiss Institute, New York; Young World, Detroit; Simone SubalGallery, New York; Art Basel Statements, Basel; and the Videotage Gallery, Hong Kong. His work has exhibited in group shows and screenings at venues including the Kitchen, New York; International Film Festival Rotterdam, the Power Plant, Toronto; Centre Pompidou, Paris, and the High Line, New York. Heath currently lives and works in New York City.

Zhenia Kazankina
Born in Moscow, Russia in 1996, Zhenia Kazankina (she/her) is a screenwriter and director and a graduate of the Gerasimov Institute of Cinematography (VGIK). Her work revolves around themes of solitude, attachment, and alienation from a feminine perspective. Her short films have screened internationally in festivals such as Locarno Film Festival, Palm Springs ShortFest, ZINEBI, True/False and many others. She participated in the In Silico competition of Message to Man IFF 2023 with Empty Rooms. She is an Alumna of Locarno Filmmakers’ Academy and Spring Academy and of Reykjavík Talent Lab.

Eva Pedroza
Multidisciplinary artist. Born in 1982 in Buenos Aires, she now lives in Berlin. Graduated from the National University of the Arts in Buenos Aires and the Berlin University of the Arts. She works with drawing, ceramics, painting, and animation. Her solo exhibitions have been held in many Berlin galleries. Tako Tsubo is Eva’s directorial debut.

Fanny Sorgo
Playwright, musician. Born in 1993 in Austria, she is now based in Vienna and Berlin. She studied drama and film at the Berlin University of the Arts. As a playwright and performer, she participated in numerous theater festivals across Europe and wrote for the Deutsche Oper Berlin. In 2020, she began working in music and released her first singles in 2023. Tako Tsubo is Fanny’s directorial debut.

Saudade stirs deep within Musa’s soul. “Saudade” is an untranslatable Portuguese word—a longing for something that is gone: a lost person, a vanished moment, a departed place. It isn’t always for something good, but always for something that felt real. And who’s to say that saudade belongs only to the Portuguese or Brazilians? Certainly not Musa, who, to the sounds of the berimbau, is gnawed by the same feeling—saudade, a sadness with no escape, a sorrow from which there is no refuge.

Director. Born in 1997 in Baku. Graduated from the Azerbaijan University of Culture and Arts. His debut short film Pa-Pa participated in the Eurasia International Film Festival, as well as numerous other showcases. His second work Heartbreath premiered at Sarajevo, and his 2024 film Sanki Yoxsan was in the short film competition at the Cannes Film Festival.
