Vladimir Munkuev

Vladimir Munkuev was born in 1987 in Yakutsk. He studied as a theatre director at the Arctic State Institute of Culture and Arts, and in 2017 he graduated from the course of Alexei Popogrebsky and Boris Khlebnikov at the Moscow School of Cinema. In 2021, at the Kinotavr festival, Munkuev received the Best Director prize for his work on the film “Nuuccha” as well as the Grand Prix in the East-West competition of the Karlovy Vary festival.
