Synopsis:
Jarvis had just moved to his new empty apartment in Shanghai when the pandemic lockdown began. Hardly dealing with his loneliness, he starts having dark and anxious thoughts. He tries to escape from his nightmares by walking into the deserted city to get to a friend’s house.
About the director:
Adriano Valerio studied Law and Film Studies at the State University of Milan, then received a BFA from the International School of Film and Television (EICAR) in Paris. His short work 37°4S has won a number of awards at various international film festivals, including Cannes, and Mon Amour Mon Ami has been screened at the Venice Film Festival and at the Toronto International Film Festival.
His first feature film, Banat, was screened at Venice International Critics Week in 2015 and was nominated for a number of awards.
The latest documentary, Les aigles de Carthage, opened the Venice Film Festival Criticism Week in 2020.
