Synopsis:
Julia, an experienced history teacher in a rather quiet high school, faces a school inspector. He wants to talk to her. But what about, exactly? Her heated debates with the principal? The freedom she takes with the school program? Or the way she teaches the Shoah?
About the directors:
Caroline Brami. A French literature professor in a Paris high-school – nowadays divides her time between teaching and creative writing (whether for the movie or music industry) after a collaboration with French cultural magazine “Les Inrockuptibles” in the nineties. She is also a part-time lecturer at Sorbonne university.
Frédéric Bas. Teaches History and Geography in a secondary school in the 19th arrondissement of Paris. He has made various radio (France Culture) and film (France 5, Arte) documentaries. He iscurrently directing a series of movies for Face à l’histoire (facing history), the historical program on the cinephile website of Arte, Blow Up.
